Custom software for Colorado manufacturers and machine shops
Jobs, travelers, inventory, inspections and lot traceability in one app, built around how your shop actually moves a part from quote to shipment.
For owners of machine shops, fabricators and small manufacturers along the Front Range, including suppliers to Colorado’s aerospace and defense companies. Your process is your edge, and off-the-shelf software usually wants you to change it.

Short answer. A custom app for a small manufacturer follows each job from quote to shipment: travelers on the shop floor, material and parts inventory, inspection records and lot or serial traceability. It shows where every job stands and connects to QuickBooks. It fits shops whose work does not match Katana, MRPeasy or JobBOSS², or that only need one piece of them.
Where is that job right now?
- Travelers are paper, and the only way to find a job is to walk the floor.
- Material is ordered when someone notices the rack is empty.
- Inspection records live in binders, and an audit means pulling them together by hand.
- Quotes are built from memory and old spreadsheets, so nobody knows which jobs made money.
- The ERP you bought does too much, and the shop works around it.
What would the app do?
- Quotes that turn into jobs, with routings and estimated hours
- Digital travelers on shop-floor tablets: operations, sign-offs, notes and photos
- A live board of every job by work center, due date and status
- Material and parts inventory with lots, certifications, reorder points and purchase orders
- Inspection records and first-article reports attached to each job
- Lot and serial traceability from raw material to shipped part
- Estimated against actual hours, so you can see which jobs pay
Why not Katana, MRPeasy or JobBOSS²?
They are capable products, and some shops should simply buy one; we will tell you if yours is one of them. A custom app fits when your work is high-mix and low-volume, when your quality records do not fit their forms, or when you only need travelers and traceability without a whole ERP.
What about AS9100, ITAR and CMMC?
If you supply aerospace or defense customers, your records and systems may have to meet AS9100, ITAR or CMMC requirements. We are not compliance consultants. During Discovery we work out with you and your quality or compliance lead what those rules mean for the app, its hosting and who can access it, before anything is built. Some data may need to stay on systems you already control.
How much does it cost to start?
Discovery is $1,500, and most projects cost $8,000 to $80,000. You get a fixed price in writing before the build starts. A common first piece is digital travelers with the live job board; inventory, inspections and traceability come next. See pricing, or get a rough range from the cost estimator.
Questions
Will it work on the shop floor?
Yes. It runs in the browser on tablets and shop computers, with large buttons, and barcode or QR scanning where it helps.
Can it replace our ERP?
It can replace the parts you actually use, or sit beside an ERP and handle what it does badly. We decide that together in Discovery.
Can it connect to QuickBooks?
Usually. QuickBooks Online lets other software send it customers, invoices and payments. We confirm what you need during Discovery.
Do we pay per user?
No. There is no per-user license from Sarasoris. Hosting is paid directly to the provider and is usually $50 to $200 a month.
